Lo Khere Chiang blasts Chong Chieng Jen

Stampin Candidate (GPS-SUPP) Lo Khere Chiang blasted his rival, DAP Chong Chieng Jen for not getting his facts right at the fire at Mile 3 bazaar Thursday afternoon.

Lo, who is also the Chairman of Padawan Municipal Council apologized for losing his cool and said he was normally a gentleman.

He said he was irritated by Chong for blaming the council and him for not taking charge of the fire hydrant and asking me to send more people to come to help fight the fire.

“There is a fire. We should respect the firemen who do their job professionally. They came early long before me and Chong arrived. They did take a while to find fire hydrants which were at the same level as the ground at the old shophouse. These shophouses there were over 60 years old and in the end, they did manage to locate it using the ones behind a shophouse and across the road, ” he said.

Lo said he and Chong were there to show their concern and we should leave the job to the professional. He said instead Chong being a three term MP and ADUN did not realise that Bomba is under the Federal government and he himself was an MP.

Lo advised all shophouse operators to help themselves by knowing the whereabouts of their area fire hydrants locations.

He said there are many old shophouses where the wiring and cables are worn and it would be better for them to do re-wiring as a fire can break up anytime.

Chong, he added should address the fire hydrant and hose leaking issue in Parliament. What was he doing in Parliament? What has he done for Sarawak? He can talk big and lie only. For all these years, we have never seen his report cards,” said an irritated Lo.

Lo pointed out that unlike Chong, he as MPP Chairman has done a lot of projects the last five years.
