Be cautious against Omicron, says Deputy Chief Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian
The latest “EnterSarawak” from Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) and Sarawak Immigration Autonomy plays a crucial role in our fight against COVID19, said Deputy Chief Minister, Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Thanking fellow Sarawakians both in Sarawak and outside Sarawak for their understanding and cooperation for the inconveniences caused, Dr Sim said they expected the surge of Omicron in the community in Sarawak soon.
He pointed out that although it is not as severe as Delta, observing from the overseas patterns, it is the most infectious COVID19 so far and the sheer numbers had overwhelmed many of the health care facilities and disrupted many of the essential services.
He again urged Sarawakians not to let their guards down but to stay caution and to ensure the new SOP is being followed.
