Dr. Sim Kui Hian urges members of the public to continue to stay vigilant against covid 19

With cases of covid 19 decreasing, it does not mean that people should let their guard down. Instead, everyone has a part to play during the pandemic by practicing Test, Report, Isolate, inform and Seek ( T.R.I.I.S) to maintain a safe environment for our community, especially for those who are vulnerable, said Local government and Housing Minister, Dato’ Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian.

Dr Sim said despite no death of covid 19 on Sunday, everyone should not let down their guard.

One of the ways to prevent this is to get COVID-19 Self-Test kit as soon as possible if anyone is experiencing any infection symptoms such as runny nose, fever, cough and others.

He said if you have a positive result, report the test result on your MySejahtera immediately and isolate yourself or quarantine immediately.

Dr. Sim said one has to be disciplined if tested positive and has to adhere to the Home Surveillance Order imposed by the Health Ministry.

“ Inform people who were close to you in the last few days and the health authorities.Then contact them immediately or any COVID-19 Assessment Center (CAC) nearby if your condition has worsened while self-isolating at home. Seek immediate treatment at any healthcare facility or a CAC nearby if you are experiencing worsening. These are a few steps you need to undertake to ensure nothing untowards happens.” he said.

Again, he reminded the public to follow SOP when going out as prevention is better than cure.
