SUPP CENTRAL YOUTH PRESS STATEMENT 26/06/2014

SUPP Youth is very disappointed with YB Tian Chua’s criticism of Sarawak exercising its rights of autonomy over immigration and banning of undesirable characters from entering the state to prevent them from sowing the seeds of discontent by spreading lies and half-truths.

SUPP Youth would like to re-iterate its stand of unwavering support to our current Chief Minister of Sarawak YAB Tan Sri Adenan Satem to tighten immigration rules and stepping up scrutiny of visitors from Peninsular Malaysia to keep out extremist politicians, religious bigots and racists.

SUPP Youth’s stand is that the only way to safeguard the harmony in Sarawak is to keep out West Malaysian based extremist politicians and religious fanatics and racists of all colours out from Sarawak.

This is because racism and religious intolerance are not characteristics of the people of Sarawak who have lived harmoniously together all these years since the day when Sarawak and Sabah joined Malaya as equal partners under the Malaysia Agreement.

YB Tian Chua should instead try to solve and speak out on behalf of the people of Selangor and solve the numerous problems now faced by the PKR led Government of Selangor and also deal with the issue of stopping PAS (a component of Pakatan Rakyat of which PKR and DAP are partners) from pursuing its Islamic State agenda.

To say that Barisan government has lost its sense of direction and fears Pakatan Rakyat is just Tian Chua’s way of ‘acting tough’. He knows very well that the foundation of Pakatan alliance is beginning to crack under pressure because the people of these Pakatan ruling states are not happy with their ineffective governance.
