Sarawak Heart Specialist has latest version of Philips Medical 1.5T Inginal Evolution MRI
Minister of Local government and housing, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said Sarawak Heart Centre is privileged to install the latest Philips Medical 1.5T Inginal Evolution MRI in Asia Pacific, reflecting the 20 years partnership with Philip’s in MRI costing RM 9.6 million.
He said back in 2003, Sarawak Heart Centre at sarawak general hopsital was the first one in Malaysia with cardiac MRI and YB Dr Annuar Rapaee was with the first cardiologist in Malaysia trained in Cardaic MRI funded by Yayasan Sarawak for 6 months at Berlin Heart Centre.
Dr. Sim thanked Dr Adham Baba, Minister of Health and YBhg Dato Sri Dr Chen Chaw Min, KSU MOH for upgrading the cardiac MRI at Sarawak Heart Centre.W
Witnessing the historical occasion was Heart Centre Director Dr Asri and other cardiologists including Dr Ong Tiong Kian, Head of Department of Cardiology, SHC, Dr Alan Fong, Head of Clinical Research Centre, SHC.
