Help extends to less fortunate from SUPP Batu Kawa
Since the Covid-19 Movement Control Order (MCO), N14 Batu Kawa Service Center has assisted a total of 4,150 B40 group households by providing them with necessities essential goods.
All those households are from kampung Sungai Tengah, kampung Sina Budi Baru, kampung Sina Budi Lama, Taman Desa Wira, Batu Kawah RPR, kampung Stapok, Batu KawaTudong flats, MJC, Stapok area, Sri Emas and 10 other area in Batu Kawa.
All this beneficiary seek help through Service Center, Batu Kawa community leaders, councillors, as well as from SUPP leaders, to submit their application, and has been approved by welfare department after eligible check.
Since the MCO, N14 Batu Kawa Service Center has initiated 6 distribution occassion, dated on March 28 & 29, April 01, 04,08 and 11. Most of the necessities essential goods are provided by Sarawak government through District Office and Welfare department. Batu Kawah assemblyman Prof. Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian also contributed some of this essential goods for those needy.
All essential goods’ distribution are conducted by community leaders or area head in order to minimise crowd’s cross contamination risk during MCO period.
With the extension of MCO till April 28, essential goods’ distribution effort will also be extended, and those applicant who submitted their application through SUPP branches and community leaders , their personal information will always be keep up-to-date, in order to ensure those eligible could receive their aid during this MCO period.
