Arrival of PPE equipment
The shipment of first batch of Personal Protection Equipments (PPE) for Government Hospitals arrived in Sarawak from Shandong, China on Tuesday.
Sarawak Local government Minister, Dato’ Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said this is only possible through the tremendous close relationship, networking and teamwork with Consulate General Of The People’s Republic Of China facilitating with Shandong Provincial Government (one of three Friendship State with Sarawak), Sarawak Health Department and Federal Government agency to handle all the purchases.
HE said Sarawak Government paid RM10 million for the purchase of PPE.
Among the PPE are 50,000-Disposable medical protective gown, 50,000-Medical face shield, 50,000-Medical goggles, 50,000-Medical shoe cover and 50,000-N95 Respirator face mask.
