Wilfred Yap says proper documentation needed for government process
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SUPP PCB) have regularly been approached by the public on problems of various kinds that they are facing. From the interviews carried out with these people by SUPP PCB, it was discovered that the majority of their problems arose due to their misunderstanding of the requirements of the various government departments concerned and their failure to furnish all the relevant documents required to the government department or authorities concerned. In view of the incomplete documentation, it invariably resulted in the delay of their application and hence the problems they face.
SUPP PCB would like to advise the public that they must comply with all the requirements laid down by Government Departments as SUPP PCB is not a Government agency or approving authority and can only assist on complaints on late or lack of response or inaction, unfair practices, mediocre and service failure of government departments.
SUPP PCB cannot bend the law and is not in a position to assist in situations where the complainant have failed to comply with the requirements laid down by the government department or authority concerned.
SUPP PCB would like to notify the public that to prevent delays in the processing and approval of their application from various government departments, they should first of all make sure that they furnish all the relevant information and documents.
To those who don’t understand the procedures and documents involved in their dealings with government departments, SUPP PCB is always ready to lend a helping hand. Anyone requiring assistance can always call SUPP PCB’s mobile number at 016-7797688 or 082-246999 or go direct to SUPP Head Office to request for assistance.
The public can also submit complaints to Talikhidmat Call Centre at telephone contact 555999 (fixed line throughout Sarawak) and 082-555999 (for mobile phone users) for matters concerning government departments or agencies failing to provide good maintenance services.
