Milton Foo questions PH Sarawak sincerity
If PH Sarawak truly speaks for the people of Sarawak as alleged in the press release of YB Chong Chieng Jen yesterday, where is the 20% oil royalty & 50% tax revenue collected from Sarawak to be returned to Sarawak as pledged in their manifesto in GE14? asked Milton Foo, Secretary general of Central SUPP Youth Sarawak.
Foo said he wanted to remind Chong that they are no longer the opposition party but the federal government of the day who not only can formulate policies but also implement them to the benefit of the people especially the people of Sarawak.
He said Flood mitigation is another example of failed promises by PH government. On 11 December 2018, MP Kelvin Yii said the RM150 million fund for the flash flood mitigation projects in Kuching will be released this year by the Federal government which will include upgrading the drainage system at the Sarawak General Hospital, Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Padang Merdeka, Lintang Park Utara, Lorong Lintang Park Selatan I, Jalan Ellis, Jalan Padungan and Tabuan Dayak.
“As of todate, nothing concrete has been put in place & not a single tender has been called by the Federal Government agency for the above said projects. Instead of playing politics all the times, YB Chong is urged to do his work prudently such as to lower the price of goods thus easing the financial burden of the people. Not only he should represent Sarawak in the Federal government but also to fight vigorously for Sarawak as he is the elected representative of Sarawak by the people of Sarawak,” he added.
