Tan Kai on the need to move forward
SUPP Youth Chairman, Tan Kai said a lot of work needs to be done in the party now that they are back on firm ground without fear of being de-registered.
Tan Kai who is also the Organising Chairman of the 55th anniversary celebration of the flag hoisting ceremony at the party headquarters today, said all members must learn from past mistakes of what happened in the last two years.
With that the crisis is over, the party especially the youth, should walk the ground to gain new support for the party and at the same time to give service to the public to win back the people support.
Saying that there are leaders who have personal agenda which could spilt the party and create havoc, Tan Kai said such thing should not happen again. He said the party was almost gone and everyone was having a tough time. This, he said, should be a good lesson to us, he pointed out.
“We are here 55 years already. We need to go forward to ensure the party grows stronger, We need to have a real sa’ati,” he said.
On Teras, Tan Kai said there were allegations that a lot of members leaving, especially in Sibu, but that was far from the truth.
There will be a big anniversary dinner in Sibu tonight.
