Courtesy visit to Dr. Sim Kui Hian
YB Dr Xavier Jayakumar Arulanandam, Minister of Land, Water and Natural Resources Malaysia with YB See Chee How, Mr Chok Moi Soon, Director of Drainage and Irrigation Sarawak and Lau Hian Ung paid a courtesy call to Local Minister and Housing, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian recently.
Under 11th Malaysia Plan (2016-2020), DID Sarawak requested total for 4 main programs @ RM 4.58 Billion (Flood $2.8 Billion) and RM 608.7 million (13%) was approved previously. YB Minister Dr Xavier agreed to help up funding of the RM250 million out of the RM 608.7 million projects (flood for Kuching RM150m & Sibu RM100m) approved previously.
Dr. Sim hoped that funding will be received soon so that consultants can be appointed and open tender can be called as these urgent projects area already delayed this year causing much suffering to the Residents in Kuching & Sibu.
