State Assemblyman for Piasau, Datuk Sebastian Ting opens badminton tournament
Datuk Sebastian Ting, State Assemblyman for Piasau expressed his gladness that children are encouraged by parents and schools to be involved in sport competition during the school holidays.
Speaking at the launch of Age Group Badminton Tournament 2018 at Tung Sports Stadium, Miri, Ting welcomed the players from Sabah, Brunei and Indonesia including those from home.
He said children should be encourage to be involved in sporting activities instead of spending too much hours on hand phones and other technology gadgets.
The Under 16 badminton game will commence today and ends on Monday.
He also hoped that the parents and guidance will have a good time in Miri too.
