SUPP Gawai visits

The joy of celebrating a year of bountiful harvest is here as all Dayak celebrate Gawai starting June 1st in Sarawak.

SUPP being a multi-racial based political party, has members coming from different social and racial background, including Chinese, Iban, Bidayuh, Indian and many more.

To promote spirits of mutual respect and understanding among all ethnic groups, open house visits during various festivities made by party leaders and members has been the good old tradition that has been passed down from one generation to another.

Party President Tan Sri Peter Chin led an entourage comprised of CWC members, members and SUPP staffs, paid a special visit to SUPP Deputy President cum Federal Minister of Human Resources YB Datuk Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem and wife during their Gawai Open House celebration at Serian’s Kampung Pichin. Also present were Central Publicity Secretary Dato Sebastian Ting, Vice President Andy Chia, Central Women Chairman Amy Tnay the section’s Secretary Ling Ngar Yieng.

SUPP Secretary General Senator YB Doctor Sim Kui Hian and the party’s Central Youth Chairman Tan Kai, both of whom have just concluded their official visit with the Prime Minister to Beijing, arrived in Kuching yesterday, were also there to greet the Minister and his wife.

Sim Kui Hian and Tan Kai proceeded to Sri Aman (Simanggang) to greet the party’s Simanggang assemblyman YB Datuk Francis Harden ak Hollis and his family, where they were warmly greeted and received.
