Paying last respect to the late Catherine Janet Tiwi
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party Women chief Kho Teck Wan extends her deepest condolence to the family of the late Catherine Janet Tiwi, the heroic teacher who perished trying to save two of her colleagues during a fire that engulfed two teacher quarters at the SK Batu Bungan in Mulu.
She said Catherine’s death is a big lost to her family and her community.
“We will remember her noble act and her sacrifice.” Said Kho.
Kho led SUPP the southern zone Women Section representatives to pay their last respect to the late Catherine Janet Tiwi today, and conveyed the regards of SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Kho hopes that the relevant authority will further improve the fire safety infrastructure of schools so that educators will be able to teach in a safe and conducive environment.
