Lo: response to DAP regarding a project in his constituency
I am glad that the Haji Baki Dewan, a federal project in my constituency which was approved by the Federal Barisan Nasional is still ongoing as I want the rakyat in my area to be able to enjoy the facilities provided.
The RM1.4 million Dewan is under construction and we have in place a Building committee set up who met me often to discuss the progress of the on-going project.
I was told that the Deputy Federal Secretary stated that MP for Stampin, Chong Chieng Jen will have to be informed of the ongoing project as the Pakatan Harapan ( PH) is now the Federal government.
I have no qualms of that and respect the wishes of the Deputy Federal Secretary.
However, I abhor the way, Aziz Isa, Special assistant of MP Chong attempted to condemn everything good we tried to do. He has the cheek to say that the project was halted in 2015 and only after PH took over the government did they start again. What an impertinent kid!
I hope he has the sense to realise that the PH has been in power for roughly over two months and I am sure the Minister did not even have time to go through any minor projects yet.
This is an outright lie from Aziz. I despise liars and I hope Aziz realised that to get credit by lying will not work. As usual, he is dishonestly taking credit for doing nothing but criticizing and lying through his teeth. He better watch his mouth or he will end up like Pinocchio with a nose he doesn’t want. He should realised that it is always better to be honest and not to twist and turn his words to gain some political mileage.
The project was never halted at all. The building committee made up of kampong folks were always in contact with me. It is my wish to see that the project will be completed and the people have a Dewan they needed for their activities.
