Dr Sim: air grievances through proper channel
Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian advised party leaders to air their dissatisfaction through proper channels within the party instead of washing dirty linen in public.
Dr. Sim in his SUPP 59th anniversary speech, said a party can mend itself and move forward through discussion within the party to trash out issues and problems. Not by running to the media to air their grouses.
He was commenting on the join press statement signed by SUPP Dudong branch chairman Wong Ching Yong, deputy chairman Kelvin Kong Sien Chiu, secretary Kong Sing Ping, treasurer Daniel Sng Wei Siong and assistant secretary Dr Wong Chya Wei who urged the party’s Secretary General to resign due to the shocking loss in the recent 14th general election.
There are bound to be losers and winners in the process of an election. “We have won and we have lost. It is part of being a political party. We can all get up and continue to do better. We can find out what are our shortcomings and improve on them,“ he said as blaming one another will get them no where.
