Dr Sim: Importance of Sarawak having a one-third representation in Parliament
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian hoped that Sarawakians and Sabahans realise the importance of having a one-third representation in the Parliament and why Sabah and sarawak should have a share of it.
If Sarawak and Sabah do not have one-third representation, the states will lose their power to bargain for their rights from the federal government.
Dr Sim lamented that if Sarawak and Sabah do not have one-third representation and if Peninsular Malaysia goes all out for their own interest, the rights of Sarawak and Sabah will be gone and no one could do anything about it.
He called to all Sarawakians to think wisely and become united under the Barisan Nasional (BN).
This was because only through BN who can help Sarawakians to fight for their rights and not through other parties which are not under the coalition.
