Health screening and blood donation drive in Serian
Human Resources Minister, Dato Sri Richard Riot urged residents of Serian to take advantage of free health screening so that any sickness would be detected at an early stage.
Speaking at a Blood Donation drive and free Health screening organised by the Lions Club and hospital of Serian on Saturday morning, Riot said such activity should be organised more frequently to benefit the well being of the people.
During the function, he gave a government grant of RM18,000 to the Lion’s club and RM15,000 to Serian hospital for carrying out more heath related activities.
400 pairs of spectacles were also given to elderly folks who suffered from long slightness.
