SUPP Triennial Delegates’ conference (TDC) 2014

SUPP Triennial Delegates’ conference (TDC) 2014 will be held on August 23 and 24th this year at Dewan Sa’ati party headquarter.

Making the announcement today, Party President Tan Sri Peter Chin said before that the Youth Central Delegate’s meeting and the Central Women Section Delegates meeting will be held on August 22nd.

He said the branches/sub branch general meeting and Youth and women Section meeting and election will be held from July 15 to August 3rd.

Chin said letters would be send out to all the 43 branches including those from the opposing group to inform them of the party election.

Members of branches and sub branch should pay their annual subscription for the current year or before April 30. Copies of the receipts of branch/sub branch for the purpose of the payment of annual subscription by the members must be send to the party central on or before May 15.

The qualifying voting membership list of the branches will be send out to the branches for the purpose of the election on or before July 1.

He said the branches have also vetted and struck out members who passed on by the National Registration.

Sibu SUPP Chairman, Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh boycotted the election citing irregularities in the branches election. Complaints were made to ROS and this led to fuel within the party factions.

Chin believed that the factional difference would be ending soon and that SUPP is heading to a positive ending with the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem who has a formula to get things right.

He said he will leave the mediating in the good hands of the Chief Minister who said he had worked out a good formula to unite the two factions.

He said even when the two factions meet, they do converse cordially and that they are afterall, comrades.

Wong’s faction had wanted the TDC 2011 Central committee to be declared null and void before they could sit down to reconcile.

Chin said as comrades, there is no need to set conditions or to say nasty words to one another.

On the Registra of Society’s decision on the two branches, Bekenu and Piasau which was earlier on suspended, Chin said they had asked Deputy President, Dato’ Sri Richard Riot to liaise with the Prime Minister and the Home Minister and he believed that the problem would be solved.
