Forum at SUPP Headquarters

Kuching: Two well known Speakers, Professor Jayum Anak Jawan, and Professor James Chin gave a two-hour talk to SUPP members, mostly from the Central Youth and Woman’s section, on November 30th themed, “SUPP AT CROSSROADS”.

Jayum, a professor of Politics and Government at the University Putra Malaysia and Chin, a professor of Political Science at Monash University as well as a Senior Visiting Fellow at Singapore’s Institute of South-East Asian Studies (ISEAS), gave a scenario of SUPP in the present situation as well as suggested a few options for the party.

SUPP Youth Central Chairman, Tan Kai commented that the talk is a positive impact on the those attending. The guest speakers offered an intelligent view of the nation’s past and current situation and an insight of what would happen.

The speakers offered a few options for the party and the pros and cons that came with it. “It is good we have such forum as we can see the points put to us by outsiders who are well verse with the political situation.

It also gives us a chance to debate on some of the points given after the forum,” he said.The talk held last Saturday at SUPP’s Dewan Sa’ati was also attended by SUPP Party President Tan Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui and Secretary General Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian.
