Final day of voting for mural art
Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, Datuk Sebastian Ting said it’s nearing the final day of voting for the mural art. According to the report received, he said a total of 273 people participated. Out of all the votes, 42.3% chose Picture A2, featuring the only female skateboarder. Ting thanked all 273 participants for their support. He said the mural work will begin soon, and the skate park will be temporarily closed for two months to allow for the project’s implementation.

由昇阳集团赞助及壁画家江泽强(Jagung)操刀设计的人造湖公园滑板场3D地面画票选活动于今午圆满结束,最终由第二版本的卡通型女子滑板手设计以42.3%的得票率脱颖而出,成最终选定的设计方案。 砂旅游、创意产业及表演艺术部副部长(旅游)拿督陈超耀今午在人造湖公园滑板场内亲自公布票选结果时,乐见自己当初所投选的版本获得最多支持。 他指出,在4个设计版本中,他选择卡通型女子滑板手,正是看中其展现的独特性,即在3个以男性为主角的设计中,只有这个版本展现了女性滑板手的力量美。 他希望这幅地面画能传递出滑板运动突破性别界限的精神,并期许未来有来自美里的滑板好手跃上国际舞台。
