沈桂贤：承包商须准时完成工程
砂副总理兼石角区议员拿督阿玛沈桂贤再次向获得政府工程的承包商发出严厉警告，承包商必须要准时完成所获得的工程项目，否则政府将毫不犹豫将对方列入黑名单。 对此，他对目前施工中的石角民立中学雨盖篮球场工程进度，出现延误深表关注，并提醒承包商必须加紧工程步伐，务必在合约期限内完成。 这项斥资35万的雨盖篮球场发展计划，是沈桂贤通过其乡村转型发展计划为石角民中推行的一项发展计划；巴达旺市议会已在今年4月4日将工程移交给SYARIKAT ARUS MEKAR，工程花费5个月，预计今年9月3日完成。 该工程目前的进度原本应该是74%，不过迄今只有55%，相等于落后19%。 日前砂执行监督单位（SIMU）、巴达旺市议会和省公署，在沈桂贤石角民众服务中心培训下，巡视石角民中雨盖篮球场工程进展，有关单位对承包商出现工程延误情况给予警告，而巴达旺市议会也分别在4月30日和7月16日，两次发出警告信给承包商。 沈桂贤说，承包商履行政府工程是一种信誉和责任，如果没有这两种态度，他们根本不适合执行工程，避免人民无法从工程中受惠。 “砂拉越政府的立场非常明确，承包商必须要准时完成有质量的工程，确保政府推行发展的最终本意，即人民受惠，能顺利落实。” 他指出，随着砂拉越政府近年取得高收入，在砂经济收益增加下，政府肯定会推行更多发展工程，因此承包商是否能履行责任，准时准点完成工程，至关重要，否则人民将无法从政府推行发展计划下受惠。 沈桂贤再次提醒执行民中雨盖篮球场的承包商，必须要在合约期限内落实工程，确保该校师生能早日享受这项设施。
