朋岭支部成立40周年晚宴
人联党朋岭支部主席拿督阿玛沈桂贤表示，该支部庆祝成立40周年，这已里程碑反映了该党对砂拉越人民的坚定承诺。他说，成立于1959年的人联党，即将迎来65年历史，在经历了政治变革的沧桑，始终将砂拉越的利益放在首位。也是作为党中央主席和砂拉越副总理的沈桂贤昨晚出席该党朋岭支部欢庆40周年庆晚宴上致词时坦言，人联党能走过如此长风雨，这归因于其服务砂拉越的基本目标。 “几十年来，党员们为了他们的事业而面临监禁甚至死亡，表现出对祖国的深切奉献。” 他说，这一承诺尤其重要，因为砂拉越开启了建设的新时代，超越了其在马来西亚的60年历史，现专注于内部发展和自治。他补充说，在前几任首席部长的领导下，砂拉越进入了一个变革阶段，并强调了砂拉越的政治和财政独立。 “这一时期为砂拉越政党联盟（GPS） 的成立奠定了基础，该联盟自此推动了该州的自主和繁荣议程。” 沈桂贤说，砂拉越政治身份的演变得到了其领导人和人民之间的信任和团结的支持。这种团结对于应对挑战至关重要，例如内部冲突和盟友间的合作支持。“你知道，在政治上，最重要的是信任。一旦你与人民和同事之间的信任破裂，就很难恢复和重新获得。”
