Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui went round kampungs in Batu Kawa looking for Lemang. Dr Sim said this is a must-have traditional food for Hari Raya in Sarawak. While there, Dr Sim said both Lemang at Kpg Sinar Budi Lama and Kpg Rantau Panjang are in great demand for Hari Raya Open House in Kuching. He learned they produced a few thousands sticks of lemang over the few days of Raya every year per stall at each of the above Kampung.
