Dr Sim on implementation of Dog Licensing and Control (By-Law)
Sarawak will implement the Dog Licensing and Control (By-Law) soon to provide for a more effective control and licensing of dogs, said Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian in his winding up speech at the State Legislative Assembly yesterday. Rural Clinic Visiting Doctors service
Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian disclosed that 102 out of 167 rural clinics in Sarawak do not have resident doctors. He added that todate, the doctors would visit 51 clinics monthly, nine clinics once every two months and three clinics are visited once every three months under Phase 1 of the programme. 沈桂贤：新条例加强控制养狗执照申请
砂地方政府与房屋部正草拟新地方议会（养狗执照及控制）条例，旨在加强养狗执照的申请管制，以杜绝狂犬病蔓延。 砂地方政府与房屋部长拿督沈桂贤在州议会为其部门进行总结时，如此表示。 他说，有关新条例将很快实行，而地方议会也会加强条例，不允许饮食业者在饮食场所饲养流浪猫狗，并通过设立流浪狗收容所控制流浪狗数量。 他建议有关流浪狗收容所或在古晋，诗巫及美里率先施行。他也表示，数据显示从去年7月1日至今年6月30日，砂州共记录1万3974宗被狗咬案例，其中4153名受害者有接受狂犬病疫苗。同时，其部门还逐户进行疫苗注射，至今已造访7688户住家，并为2836只狗注射疫苗。 他也说，砂政府至今乃花费逾百万令吉应付狂犬病疫情，同时也必须在两年时间内没有出现新狂犬病案例下，砂拉越才能从狂犬病疫区完全被解除。
沈桂贤：210万提升郊区卫生服务
砂地方政府与房屋部长拿督沈桂贤表示，州政府今年分配210万令吉拨款，作为州内郊区卫生服务提升，包括通过合作方式，如医生访问等在郊区诊所提供就诊服务。 他说，在167间砂拉越郊区诊所当中，有102间没有驻院医生，因此，郊区诊所医生访问的服务将有助于拉近鸿沟，直至委派驻院医生为止。 他表示，在2017年第一季度，有85间郊区诊所被纳入郊区诊所访问医生计划当中。 而截至目前，共有51间诊所每月都有医生访问、另有9间诊所每两个月有医生访问、3间诊所每三个月有医生访问。至于其余39间诊所将列入今年第二季度内实施。 他指出，砂卫生局今年6月乃获得联邦分配400万令吉拨款，作为提升和修建现有诊所用途，特别是曾因水患毁坏或陈旧的部分。
