Kho: PH pledge of 30% women in its administration still short
Following the appointment of additional members of cabinet on 2nd July 2018, the new Malaysia cabinet now has 5 women full ministers and 4 women deputy ministers. The 17% women representation falls short of Pakatan Harapan’s pledge of minimum 30% women in its administration. In respond to the new cabinet line-up, SUPP Central Women Section Chairman Kho Teck Wan stressed that there are 21 elected Pakatan Harapan female MPs, which is more than enough to make up for the 30% women representation.
