Political secretary to the Chief Minister, Teng Ung Wee led a group of community leaders for a meeting with Patrick Teo, an engineer from Sarawak Energy Sarikei Division. Teo had a a dialogue session with the community leaders from Sg. Kedup, Sg kesa, Baron, Sg Bulat, Sg Sebanyak, Jln Kinsan , Sg Mamie, Bayong, Sg Meradong and Sg Mador on why the area is facing low voltage problem. Teng appreciated Teo’s effort to explain things to them as this will clear a lot of issues concerning electricity supply matters.

Funds to repair dilapidated school building
Piasau State Assemblyman, Dato’ Sebastian Ting together with Sekolah Kebangsaan Syed Othman Miri Parents Teachers Association, Headmaster, community leaders and Education department officers went for a site inspection on the building. After a pupil has an accident last August due to the dilapidated school conditions, the Ministry of Education had approved RM 500 thousand for the new building and RM 35 thousand to renovate the school. The construction will start at the end of November and is expected to be completed in June 2017.

陈超耀巡视美里Syed Othman国小
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师于日前前往美里Syed Othman国小巡视，在场包括该校家教协会、校长、社区领袖和教育局官员。 在今年8月学校出现设施意外之后，教育部已经紧急拨出50万令吉作为兴建新校舍用途，同时也额外拨出3万5000令吉来装修该校。 这项工程将会在11月杪开始展开，并预计在明年6月份完工。 陈超耀感谢教育部的紧急措施，协助该校。
沈桂贤巡视四小
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于本月26日巡视古晋中华小学第四校。 他也是四小的校友，他在致词时，表示很感谢其父母送他进入华小就读，让他接触及学习华文，并懂得讲华文。 “感恩父母、学校以及老师校长，在出来社会及成功后也要懂得回馈。” 与此同时，他也称，行善必须出自于真心，无需以捐款数额作为比较，大家应乐于助人，且不必计较所捐助的数额的多与少，大家应一起来伸出援手协助学校。 他强调，学校是求取知识的地方，拥有完善基本设备及舒适求学环境是得来不易的，因此，他欢迎身为学生家长应在能力范围内慷慨解囊，协助学校。 与此同时，为提升教师福利，他也宣布拨款1万令吉作为该校教师的福利，因为，教师往往是在背后默默付出，不求回报的一群。 在场包括古晋中华小学校董会主席王长福。
Relocation of families to the Resettlement Scheme in Tudan Desaras.
Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting stressed the government concern about the 302 families in Kampung Pasir and Kampung Api-Api in Lutong who were asked to move to the Resettlement Scheme in Tudan Desaras. The families has been ordered to relocate within one month, but CM Adenan Satem already agreed for them to be extended to another 6 months.
