首长暗示沈桂贤胜选有机会入阁
首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登向华社提示，倘若人联党主席兼石角区候选人拿督沈桂贤上议员在5月7日当天中选，他将会委任后者入阁，担任部长。 他于4月29日晚上在古晋城市广场举行的人联党选民集会上表示，他希望华人代表在其政府内，因为，华裔选民应该要支持人联党，而不是行动党。 “所以你们要懂得选择，沈桂贤笑了，因为他知道若他赢了，就会成为部长，像他的已故父亲丹斯里拿督阿玛沈庆鸿那样。先赢了选举吧。” 也是砂国阵主席的阿德南于当晚是第一次为人联党候选人助选。 他说，他是阿德南沙登，不是“白头发”（前首长丕显斯里泰益玛目），后者从不干政，所有的政策，都是他阿德南沙登的决定。 他希望选民给予他强大支持，以便他可以向布城，争取更多砂拉越权益。 他也反驳反对党的竞选布条，指投给他，就是投给首相拿督斯里纳吉的指责。他强调，这是攸关选择砂首长的选举，不是选择首相。
