砂人联党中央秘书长沈桂贤医生宣誓成为上议员，是党一大喜讯。 党中央宣教秘书拿督陈超耀表示，这对于砂人联党来说是个极为重要的事，尤其是可以作为一个平台，让党为人民提供更好的服务。 也出席沈桂贤宣誓仪式的陈超耀说，砂人联党一路来秉持服务人民的创党宗旨，无论是过去或未来，都会持续下去。 他恭贺沈桂贤医生受委为上议员，并相信后者会竭尽所能，为砂州人民服务。 他也感激砂人联党忠实党员，在党高峰及低潮时刻所给予的支持。

砂人联党中央宣教处文告
砂人联党中央宣教处发文告向党员作出郑重澄清，“五五方案”由始迄终都不存在。 并且，若有人可将党常务职务当作“私人资产”般，以“五五分账”方式安排，这是摒弃党章、党选举程序和国家法治，违犯民主原则，更违背且无视人联党基层所有党员的民主意愿。 文告续指出，根据人联党党章，党领导层阵容必须先通过各分、支部选举，再经过中央委员会选举后，再遴选成为党常务委员会阵容，岂可让一小摄人任意乱为。 人联党章亦阐明，所有人联国、州议员都自动受委为中央委员会成员。有鉴于此，该四名较早时已经公开表态加入人民力量党的党员，声称遭到党内打压，完全是无中生有言论，目的是为博同情以扰乱人联党政纲。 宣教处也指出，针对已被人联党开除党籍的黄顺舸和支持者，一再发表毫无证据污蔑人联党言论,目的是为此借散发恶毒抵毁言论，达致他们意图毁灭人联的不轨意图。 人联中央宣教处呼吁人联党员保持冷静，理智思量和慎重看待此事，避免受到误导。
