Chap Goh Meh with Rakyat
In conjunction with the 15th day of Chinese New Year, SUPP will be organizing a Cap Goh Meh with Rakyat’s Celebration with Kuchingites on March 6th 2015, Friday. The event will be held at the Kuching Jubilee Ground. Among the many special guests invited are the charity organizations serving the under privileged, handicapped and elderly such as the patients from the cancer wad of Sarawak General Hospital, elderly from Green Ribbon and Hun Nan Xiang Thyn, orphans from the Salvation Army Home, children from the Autism Centre, as well as the patients from the Marwar kidney Dialysis Hospital.
Performances lined up at the event include 9 dragons dance, 36 lions dance, fireworks, dance performances from local artist, Chinese Wushu, Silat and Indian martial arts.
The public is encouraged to join the light exercise lead by Eng’s Fitness Center instructor Miss Tan Gek Eng. Miss Tan with over 10 years of experience in aerobic field, together with 50 students from Eng’s Fitness Center will lead the public in a light fitness exercise.
Street dance fan would not want to miss the performance by Feasible Crew. Feasible Crew is our very own local street dance team which achievements include the Top 10 Finalist in 8TV Showdown 2010, the MYFM dance 2011 champion, and 2008 Singapore Tourism Dance Competition champion and many more.
Admission is free for the Chap Goh Meh with the Raykat’s celebration. All are welcome to enjoy the performances and fireworks with or without an admission ticket. The admission ticket distributed by the organizer can be used to redeem the snack pack and lucky draw. The public are encouraged to carpool to the event to avoid traffic jam. The MBKS and Dewan Mesyarakat parking lots will also be opened for public parking.
