SUPP CWC statement on UPP (17 Feb 2015)
Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh, United People’s Party President was reminded not to issue confusing press statement claiming to be part of Barisan Nasional (BN).
In a statement yesterday, Sarawak United Peoples’ Party CWC said Wong has a tendency to issue statements as if UPP is already in the government and this is confusing the rakyat.
The statement said Wong kept quoting the Chief Minister’s name in these statement which is not fair to the Chief Minister as there was never such statement uttered that UPP is in the BN.
SUPP also urged Wong who is a veteran, to tell the truth as he should know that if he were ever to apply to join BN, he would be rejected as long as one component party refused to accept it.
The statement said so far, SUPP, SPDP, PRS, MCA and Gerakan had voiced their disagreement not to accept UPP and Teras.
SUPP also urged Wong not to play politics but keep to the truth.
