Dr Sim – unity through Wushu
President of SUPP, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian congratulated the Nanyang Wushu Federation of Sarawak for organising a Chinese New Year Festival Extravaganza under Grand Master and Chairman Dato Sri Prof Song Swee Hee.
Sim who officiated the function last night, said the 40 years of excellence cultural and artistic is a great contribution to the community of Kuching. It is beyond culture as it also included exercise, discipline, team work and training for the next generation.
Wushu and lion dance is not just for Chinese but for all Malaysians. He said he is proud that so many young children of different races and religion were actively participating. This is Sarawak, truly the forefront of 1Malaysia.
Dr. Sim also urged all not only to maintain Sarawak’s own identity but also actively participating and sharing our other fellow Sarawakian’s culture with open heart and sincerity.
