Observe SOP during Chinese new year, says Dr Sim
Local Government and Housing, Dato’ Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said during the Chinese New Year, similar to other festive celebrations during the pandemic, celebration is only allowed on first day with maximum of 20 close family members.
He said there will be no open house, no gatherings in restaurants, no bazaars, no celebrations at temple and public places & no lion and dragon dance.
Reunion dinner (CNY eve), he said, allowed at home, or take away from restaurants.
On open house only family members are allowed and must register MySejahtera/ COVIDTrace/ Qmunity for the purpose of contact tracing or manual registration must include date, time, name and tel number.
The body temperature, 37.5 c or showing symptoms will not be allowed to enter and advised to go nearest hospital or clinic, he said.
Dr. Sim urged the public to keep physical distancing of at least 1 meter & no close contact such as shaking hands.
