722 an important date gazetted by late CM Adenan Satem

Batu Kawah State Assemblyman, Dato Sri Dr. Sim Kui Hian said Batu Kawah is excited to prepare for July 22, a day gazetted by the late Adenan Satem as Sarawak Independence Day.

He said the late CM gazetted the day in May 2016 and an eye opener for a lot of Sarawakians.

“This annual public holiday was declared by TokNan so all Sarawakians so that we could do something on the day, be it formally or informally, to celebrate the best of Sarawak traditions, values, cultures, unity. It’ is typical of Adenan’s way to ensure Sarawakian understand the history, the aspirations, the mission and vision of Sarawak by the past, current and future generations of Sarawakian be it officially or privately,” he said.

Dr Sim called on all 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐤𝟐 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤, be it in Sarawak or outside Sarawak, no matter where you are in the world to celebrate 𝟐𝟐 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 with their family, friends and fellow Sarawakians in their own ways.
