Wilfred Yap hopes for a better 2021 for all
The year 2020 has come to an end and remarkably, a year that has necessarily kept people apart through difficult but necessary decisions like Movement Control Orders made to prevent the spread of Covid-19, said Wilfred Yap, Kota Sentosa SUPP branch chairman.
Sarawakians, he said had risen to the challenges of the year 2020 through the actions of so many who had emerged from society to offer financial help and care to the less fortunate and are fortunate to have a Sarawak GPS Government under the able leadership of our Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari Tun Abang Haji Openg that pressed on with its caring and forward looking domestic agenda.
“Sarawak GPS Government not only made made numerous people oriented policies and subsidy initiatives in 2020 to lighten the financial burden of ordinary Sarawakians which dealt with urgent concerns of Covid-19 pandemic but also made steady progress on long term goals in our pursuit of all the legitimate rights, interest and status of Sarawak under Malaysia Agreement 1963. More importantly, the GPS Sarawak Government also successfully imposed 5% Sale Tax to reengineer and diversify Sarawak’s revenue for the progressive and systematic improvement in the social and economic status of Sarawak, ” he said.
The year 2020, he said might not have been good due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but Sarawakians can look forward to 2021 with confidence and strength as the GPS led Sarawak Government have build a strong foundation through good policies to secure a brighter future for Sarawak.
He believed that Sarawak’s best days are ahead of us under a progressive GPS led Government and SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch and SUPP Public Complaints Bureau wish all Sarawakians a Very Happy New Year 2021.
