Helping out on medical compensation and invalidity pension from SOCSO
SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap together with SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch members recently went back to visit an individual residing at BDC Resettlement Scheme, Kuching to hand over Mayang Fund and to inform him that SOCSO had approved his medical compensation amounting to RM2,900.00 and further that SOCSO are in the process of arranging for a medical checkup (fastest by 19th December) to verify the percentage of his disability which will determine the amount of his invalidity pension.
The wife of the victim had asked for assistance from SUPP PCB on the status of his application for financial assistance in the form of medical compensation and invalidity pension from SOCSO (Social Security Organization).
He had earlier been involved in a hit and run accident resulting in him being bedridden and paralysed from the waist down and is unable to provide for the living expenses of his family as he is the sole breadwinner of his family.
