Problems of blocked drains at RPR Stampin Resettlement Scheme

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by residents living at RPR Stampin Resettlement Scheme located at Lorong 12, Jalan Stampin Baru who requested for his assistance on blocked drains due to overgrown weeds.
Following the request for assistance received, Wilfred Yap immediately went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problems raised by the residents.
The matter have since been highlighted and brought up to the attention of Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS) for their prompt action in clearing the weeds causing the blocked drains at Lorong 12, Jalan Stampin Baru.
However SPCB also hopes the residents of the area will also not irresponsibly dump left over construction material into the drains to make a bridge to access their land as it will disrupt waterflow when it rains causing flash flooding. The illegal dumping of leftover construction material into the drain by the residents of the area themselves is also the cause of the poor drainage.
In this connection, Wilfred Yap hopes that the current Stampin Member of Parliament YB Julian Tan and current Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman YB Chong Chieng Jen will assist the residents of RPR Stampin Resettlement Scheme to solve their problems of the bad road conditions and poor drainage situation by applying and securing development funds to resolve the matter for the long term.
