Sunny Hill Secondary School held a special ceremony on Monday to pay tribute to the former chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem. 砂拉越人民联合党青年团恭贺拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈理正式出任砂拉越第六任首席部长，砂人联青全力支持新首长并希望新首长能带领砂拉越冲向另一个高峰。 砂人联青总团长陈开矢言，人联青将全面配合新首长的领导以落实以下数项砂拉越国阵与砂拉越人民的期望。 一）砂拉越国阵持继捍卫1963 年马来西亚协议里关于砂拉越的自主权及人民的权力，确保砂拉越与联邦政府关于权力下放的谈判，早日达致成果与落实。 二）砂拉越国阵持续成为我国多元民族共治与权力分享的榜样，传统上，这种共治与权力分享是由达雅族，马来族与华族组成。砂拉越华人社会希望以往国阵在联合政府协议中，由华人出任副首长的优良传统能够重新实现。 三）砂拉越继续执行几十年来多元民族，多元宗教的中庸政策，这种多元的中庸政策必定成就砂拉越继续成为社会和谐与稳定繁荣的的楷模。 四）重视年轻人的教育发展与创造年轻人的商业机会，成为砂拉越政府的优先的发展议程。 新首长阿邦佐哈里过去的丰富从政经验及热爱砂拉越的本土情怀，我们有信心新首长必能继承阿迪南的智慧与宏愿，带领砂拉越前进与繁荣。
真光中学师生追悼阿迪南
古晋三哩真光中学于日前主办一项追悼会，追悼已故前首长丹斯里阿迪南沙登。 真光中学师生、校友会以及家教协会超过200人，集合在学校礼堂以敬拜赞美与献花方式来怀念这位全民首长所作出的伟大贡献。除此，在追悼会期间，也播放关于已故丹斯里阿迪南沙登出席活动场面的影片。 活动主宾峇都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强在致词时表示，已故丹斯里阿迪南沙登的离去，让砂州失去了伟大的领袖，在此，他向潘斯里查米拉及其家属致上哀悼。 他回忆说，去年州选举的某天周六上午7时30分，自己登门拜访当时的首长丹斯里阿迪南沙登，由于时间还很早，当时阿迪南沙登还穿着沙龙，自己才意识到太早过去打扰了。 不过当阿迪南沙登得知其前来的目的后，便以平时严肃表情，但亲切的声音要求他说出来。当时罗克强提呈一份在石角兴建公园的计划书，不到一个月，巴达旺市议会收到一封土地测量局的信件，批准市议会以46英亩的地段来兴建公园。 他称，已故丹斯里阿迪南沙登是很好的老师，提醒他要不断努力，以获取人民的信任。对此，他将会好好为该区奋斗，为更好的砂拉越而努力。 他续强调，已故阿迪南沙登爱砂拉越这片土地，将其灵魂及全部精神投入在发展砂州，为了砂州子民的未来。鉴于此，罗克强希望该校学生将已故阿迪南沙登视为学习榜样。
沈桂贤亲自在新年贺卡上签名
华人农历新年脚步越来越近，砂人联党主席兼地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤准备送出5000张新年贺卡，向各界献上新年祝福。 他在部长办公室上，忙着为每张贺卡签名。 他称，亲自在贺卡上签名，也是其已故父亲丹斯里拿督阿玛沈庆鸿生前的习惯。
