Celebrating Christmas and New Year at the Senior Citizen Activities Center
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting spent some quality time celebrating Christmas and New Year with Miri Senior Citizens at the Senior Citizen Activities Center. Ting said the Senior Citizen Activities Center is a place for them to have some recreation activities. Most of them are noted to be talented, able to sing and dance in the centre every morning. They also organised exercise sessions in the early morning.
Hui Sing Hawker centre committee helping the needy
As part of their social obligation, Hui Sing Hawker centre committee has collected a total of RM34,000 worth of cash and food stuff to donate to the needy. Its Organising Chairman, Chang Hot Chai said this is the fourth year the committee has set out to do this. He said they had identified 31 needy persons and some welfare associations of which they gave food stuff like rice, oats, noodles, biscuits and Milo. There were also wheel chairs donated to welfare homes. Chang said since Chinese new year is round the corner, it is a timely project.Read More
陈超耀与乐龄人士欢庆圣诞及新年
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师于本月3日，与美里乐龄活动中心的乐龄人士一起欢庆圣诞节和元旦新年。 他在场赠送礼物给他们，也一起歌唱，其乐融融。 他表示，乐龄活动中心是为乐龄人士提供休闲活动的场合，而他们大多数都有各自的才华，包括歌唱与舞蹈，通常他们是在早上聚集在一起。在更早的时候，他们也会进行早操。
