Forum on The Constitutional Safeguard of Sarawak’s Rights’

SUPP P196 Stampin Parliamentary Liaison Committee will hold a forum ‘The Constitutional Safeguard of Sarawak’s Rights’ at Grand Continental Hotel on July 18, starting 7pm.

SUPP deputy secretary-general Sih Hua Tong, who is the organising chairman, said the forum would allow more time for participants to express their opinions or pose questions instead of the conventional style of listening to what speakers had to deliver.

“It is a topic very dear to the heart of Sarawakians. And the forum, which will be conducted in Mandarin, is organised in the interest of Sarawakians as a whole, transcending partisan politics.”

Former assistant minister of local government Datuk David Teng who is also former Repok assemblyman, a former SUPP treasurer and a lawyer by profession, will be the key speaker at the forum.

Chairman of Board of Management for Kuching Chung Hua Middle Schools No 1, 3 and 4 and president of Kuching Hockien Association Richard Wee is the moderator while president of Young Malaysians Movement Sim Chiun Wee and former youth chief of the Federation of Kuching and Samarahan Divisions Chinese Associations Tan Yit Sheng are the forum panelists.

Some 100 people from all walks of life are invited to the forum.
