Datuk Sebastian Ting: Sarawak should be consulted for Budget 2019
Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting who is also SUPP Secretary-General said SUPP wondered why the Federal Government has not consulted Sarawak on the upcoming budget as it was the norm in the past for them to ask the States for proposal on budget allocations.
He hoped that Pakatan Harapan (PH) Government will not deliver a Federal Budget that might burden the people nor introduce or increase any new tax as the people are already suffering.
Asking the Putrajaya to get each state’s opinions before finalizing Budget 2019, Ting said they should think of a budget that will benefit Sarawak as there were already delays in big projects promised to Sarawak.
SUPP, he said, will monitor the situation.
