Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang witnessed a handover of 100 packets of 10 KG rice to Hun Nam Siang Tng recently from the Tai Poo community Association.

Lo in a brief note said the Association is doing an honorable thing as it help provides assistance to 300 less fortunate families monthly.

He said such act of kindness should not be only held during festival times but also in time of need as during festival times, there may be a lot of donors around.

Encouraging youngsters to spend more time with elderly parents, Lo said putting the parents in Homes should be the last resort. He added that it is understandable that today’s society is stressful for the youngsters but it also pays to take care of their elderly parents.
