Batu Kawa Wetland Waterfront Park
Minister for Local Government and Housing, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian visited the State first proposed wetland park recently.
Dr, Sim went to the site with the newly appointed Landscape Consultants by SFS and MPP officers (implementing agency)
He expressed his excitement that this will be the first of its kind wetland park (conserve the existing environment) in Sarawak which is easily accessible from Kuching for everyone to enjoy.
“This will help conserve the existing environment and an added value to the lifestyle and land value for Batu Kawa folks,” he said.
Dr. Sim said the phase I with a ceiling budget of M$5 million expected to be ready for open tender in January 2019.
