Activities for children launched at the (PERKATA) Special school
A series of activities was launched at the (PERKATA) Special school recently for the children there.
Organised by Global Design Studio, an active community network comprising of students, graduates and interdisciplinary academic creatives from Curtin University’s school of Built Environment, (SoBE) in Bentley, Western Australia, the program seeks to enhance student learnign experience through internation community collaboration across three phases undertaken this year.
The team of 24 students and industry experts took to the 14-day road trip in Sarawak and one of the activities was to share a day of joy with the Special school inmates.
Batu Kitang State Assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang who officiated the Occasion, said it was a good gesture for the Global Design Studio to think of the special need children.
He said charity from the heart is a good moral support for such people. Lo hoped that other organisation would also spend time with such children or at the Old folks’ home to bring cheers to their lives.
The day’s activities included art painting, fabric paper roll, puppet making, origami, hand painting and musicial activitiy.
