Helping out the unfortunate
Generous shop owners and individuals donated a total of 200 packets of rice to be distributed to poor families in the Batu Kitang.area.
State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang who is also the Padawan Municipal council Chairman, in distributing the rice, said the packet of rice were distributed to all, irrespective of race, particularly to those in need in the constituency.
He said it is common practice in Sarawak, when it comes to giving, every deserving person will get it, regardless of race and religion.
Lo thanked all those who were able to extend their assistance to those in need.
