Distribution of wang ehsan for Kuching area
The distribution of wang ehsan was done at the Pejabat Daerah Pertahanan Awam Kuching at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee this morning. Those from Rantau Panjang and Kampung Surih are to collect their wang ehsan in the afternoon. The SUPP had requested this distribution from the authority to serve those who missed the last one.

The Eat Right to Play Right (ERTPR) programme is a collaborative effort between Zurich Insurance, Takaful Malaysia Berhad and One Goal in Malaysia. Condolence visit to Puan Sri Jane Yong
State Local Government Minister, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian paid a visit to Puan Sri Jane Yong last night. Dr. Sim, who was away when former SUPP President, Tan Sri Dr. Wong Soon Kai passed on, went with his mother and wife to pay the family a visit to express his condolence.
沈桂贤慰问黄顺开遗孀
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤从国外行程返回古晋之后，第一时间前往慰问已故前任党主席丹斯里黄顺开的遗孀潘斯里杨守勤。 他于昨晚（28日），在母亲潘斯里沈林淑卿和夫人拿汀王淑燕陪同下，前往杨守勤住家。在场包括黄顺开的长子黄祈亮。 黄顺开是于22日凌晨3时50分在私邸安详离世，享年90岁。他于25日上午于达闽路的丧府举行遗体盖棺仪式后，灵柩车队伍出发至王其辉路的砂人联党总部，当队伍抵达总部时，两名前任党主席拿督巴丁宜陈康南医生和丹斯里陈华贵率领现场百名党员为黄顺开灵车致敬，并移交党旗给家属。 随后，灵柩车队伍前往黄土路的三一堂，举行追思礼拜。现场有约200名政、经、文、教界的代表，向这位德高望重的前辈献上最后敬意。黄顺开遗体过后载往富贵山庄，进行火葬。 黄顺开于1991年至1996年担任人联党主席。
Medical, dental cum eye camp at Kampung Engkaruh, Mongkos in Serian
A medical cum dental cum eye camp was conducted at Kampung Engkaruh, Mongkos in Serian District community hall, jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Kuching and Sathya Sai Health and Wellness Centre ( operated by Divine Will Society) on 26 th March 2017 The team comprised 18 medical (doctors, dentists, natural therapist, pharmacist , health promoter and nurse) while the non-medical volunteers included Unimas students, hairdressers and teachers. 西连甘榜义务医疗服务
一个由古晋扶轮社和 Sathya Sai Health & Wellness Society ( 由圣志社 Divine Will Society 操作 )联合举办的医疗营于2017年3月26日在西连 Mongkos 的甘榜 Engkaruh 之民众会堂举行。 团队包括了十八位医疗专业人士，分别为医生、牙医、自然疗法师、药剂师、保健师和护士)。其他义务人员包括砂大学生, 理发师以及教师。提供的医疗服务有体格,血糖,血压,眼睛以及牙齿检验。 验到须去除白内障的数位甘榜居民，已交付给砂拉越中央医院跟进。 牙医专业人员当天也提供了拔牙服务。其他活动包括分发汽球给小孩。感恩的各村民则准备了丰富午餐以示谢意. 医务人员也登门看访了躺卧在床的病人。有两位被验出有脑膜炎的病人必须即刻进入砂中央医院做手术。当天受惠的病人为数 230人。品尝了村民特为医疗营队呈上的美味午餐后, 主办当局许诺会定期到来为病患者复诊。医疗营于下午三时圆满结束，村民们以传统方式欢送义务团队。
沈桂贤：浮刹出现40宗霍乱症投报
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤披露，木中省的浮刹爆发霍乱症成疫区，从今年3月初开始至26日为止，浮刹县区内已接获40宗大多数涉及到小孩的霍乱症投报，当中有一宗是死亡病例，使该区拉响疫情警报。 此病症的主要症状是频密腹泻、呕吐和感冒。当局从所抽取的5个粪便样本化验发现，有4个样本是呈现阳性轮状病毒（Rotavirus）。初步调查显示，该区爆发的霍乱症是源于作公共食水供应的源头遭污染。 在这同时，砂州卫生局与地方议会当局已采取行动控制和防止病症的蔓延。 这些行动包括持续性的监督和管制当地附近地区的食水过滤站的所供应的食水水质、对陈旧的大水管清洗、积极鉴定社区感染的病例，以及给予当地居民卫生忠告。 据悉，轮状病毒是绝大多数婴儿和儿童群体当中感染霍乱的病因，而发病期是相当短，一般上是少于48小时，而腹泻、呕吐及感冒乃是感染到轮状病毒这元凶的发病情况。 霍乱通常可于3天至7天内恢复健康。无论如何，严重患上这种病症的婴儿和儿童，将可导致身体营养失去衡，若不及时医治是可演变恶化至丧命。 轮状病毒一般上是透过被污染的食物和水源，肮脏的表面和物件以及不注重卫生者的情况传染开去。 鉴于此，砂州卫生局提醒浮刹地区的居民注重日常起居生活卫生，切记饮用煮沸的水和食用清洁卫生的食物，勤于清洗厨房用具，以及如厕前后须洗手。 州卫生局也提醒受病症影响地区的居民，一旦出现得病症状，即须马上前往求医。
石角区水灾援助金今日发放
今早在位于王长水路的砂拉越古晋民防局开始进行石角水灾援助金(Wang ehsan)的颁发。 恳请各位来自Rantau Panjang 及Kampung Surih 的灾户们请在午时2点前往该处领取你的水灾援助金。 此次的援助金颁发是基于YB拿督沈医生的要求下，有关当局颁发水灾援助金致上一次错失的灾黎们。
邓文武探访火灾灾黎
首长政治秘书邓文武于日前前往泗里街双溪克沙（Sg. Kesa）探望一名火灾灾黎。 该60岁的灾黎，与一名儿子在星期一一场火灾中，失去家园，其居住的木屋在火灾中付之一炬。 社会福利局官员随同邓文武，将食物和家居用品等物资，移交给该灾黎。 邓文武表示，他也协助该灾黎申请援助，希望尽快重建家园。
居民向邓文武反映道路问题
首长政治秘书邓文武于周二巡视泗里街双溪克沙（Sg. Kesa），当地居民向他反映土地问题，恐影响道路。 据了解，该小支路因为豪雨导致泥土流失，让道路有崩塌的危险。 邓文武答应居民会马上将此问题向有关当局反映，以采取补救行动。
Residents worried of collapsing culvert following heavy downpour
Teng Ung Woo paid a visit to Sg. Kesa on Tuesday after receiving complaints from local residents on a culvert in the area. Teng who is political secretary to the Chief Minister, was told that due to the recent heavy downpour, soil erosion caused the side of the wooden culvert to collapse. The villagers are worried that the soil erosion will damage the road and cause it to be impassable for them. Teng said he will bring the matter to the authority concerned to have a proper drain done.
Assistance for fire victim in Sg Kesa village
An elderly man aged 60 and his mentally-ill son lost everything after his wooden hut was razed by fire on Monday in Sg. Kesa village, Sarikei. Teng Ung Woo, Political Secretary to the Chief Minister heard of the incident and paid a visit to the elderly man. He went with personnel from the Welfare department.
