Datuk Dr Sim: working visit to Padawan district police station
Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Local government Minister who is also the Adun for Batu Kawa paid a working visit to Padawan district police station yesterday afternoon. Dr. Sim who had a lengthy discussion with Padawan police Chief, Aidil Bolhassan said they discussed on many issues involving Batu Kawa. He said he is concerned on the crime activities, online gambling and traffic jams in the Batu Kawa area. Dr. Sim said he was also briefed by Aidil on community policing in the area, crime watch project and manpower issues.

程明智：美里麦当劳拆除禁止非清真蛋糕通告乃是明智之举
砂首长署政治秘书程明智指出，美里麦当劳快餐连锁店已接获总公司指示，拆除有关“只允许携带清真认证蛋糕入店”的告示，可说是明智之举，这也是基于砂人民反对施压的效果。 他指出，美里麦当劳快餐连锁店是于日前张贴有关的告示牌，并已在今日除下；同时不阻止顾客携带任何蛋糕入店庆祝生日。 程明智今日发出文告强调，他在日前促麦当劳总部，勿将“不允许顾客携带没有清真认证蛋糕带入店”的作法，延伸到该店在全砂各地的连锁店，否则将号召杯葛，因为砂拉越是具有种族和谐的精神，并不欢迎有关作法。 据他所知，当麦当劳在西马实施有关的作法后，在砂拉越仅有美里的麦当劳快餐连锁店来随步，说是接获总公司的相关指示，但还是自行拆除有关告示牌，显示出砂各族包容性的文化是特出。 “据知，在全砂各地的麦当劳连锁店分行，迄今都没有出现只允许携带清真认证蛋糕入店，之前只有美里的麦当劳连锁店有跟步而已 。” 他说，对于商业性不合理带有沙文的要求，消费者是有权力给予拒绝，若有必要可群起来杯葛，这是消费人所享有的权益，也是合理化的。 他强调，砂首长丹斯里阿德南沙登是有一再强调，砂拉越各族能包容不同的文化、宗教是一大特点，也是砂人民所感骄傲的地方；砂政府也禁止西马的宗教极端分子及种族沙文主义分子踏足砂拉越。
陈超耀主持辉盛小贩中心慈善活动
辉盛小贩中心为庆祝迈入成立23周年庆，该中心22名小贩于本月5日联办慈善布施活动，成功筹获3400令吉的款项和食物，捐赠给有需要者。 辉盛小贩中心主席田福财指出，这是他们连续第四年举办相关慈善活动。 他们将物资如白米、麦片、干面、饼干和美禄等，捐赠给31名有需要的人士和慈善机构，同时也捐赠轮椅给予慈善机构。这些物资是来自社会善心人士和小贩自动自发捐献。 砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长兼卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师也受邀在场移交物资给受惠者。
