人联投诉局接获消费税投诉

自4月1号消费税实施以来,人联公共投诉局最近陆续接获民众投诉有关物价上涨的情况特别自上周开始。这是因为民众开始感受到消费税所引发的通胀效应。 人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星发现虽然许多物品被列为零税率,但是当货价上涨后就把矛头归咎于消费税。 消费税已在超过170个国家实施,在全球商业市场并不是陌生的税务。消费税可以更有效地课税因是建立在广泛的基础上且透明化;部分物价也会因服务与销售税的废除而降低。有基于此,物价上涨可能是有关因当局缺乏有效的执法而导致不良商家有机可趁。 人联公共投诉局理解消费者的感受,有鉴于此,叶耀星协同该局成员到贸消部进行拜访。这次访问的目的在反映消费者所面对的困境与疑惑。 在拜访当中,叶耀星要求贸消部执法部门持续检查并监督市场上暴利现象以确保价格上涨仅仅是因为供应和需求的关系。人联党公共投诉局也希望执法部门能增加检查次数以确保不良商家不向消费者乱收费。 民众如有发现不法及乱收消费税或未注册却收取消费税之商家可向贸消部投诉 e-aduan@kpdnkk.gov.my 或拨电082-466012;民众也可通过人联公共投诉局反映此等事件。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉局(016-7797688或082246999)或亲临人联党总部。
