叶耀星关注三哩菜市场小贩设施问题

人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星律师近日接获民众及三哩菜市场小贩投诉该市场厕所问题。 同时也是巴达旺市议员的叶耀星与巴达旺市议会职员在接获投诉后前往该厕所视察并商讨如何处理该厕所之问题。叶耀星于现场要求市议会官员列出需要修理与需处理之清单并尽可能在近期内处理因公共厕所需处理良好状态。 人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星表示他会在市议会常月会议中提出这项问题并要求市议会职员提高厕所视察次数以确保公共设施时常处于良好状态获得妥善维修供大众使用。


人联党推荐社区领袖续任

人联党石隆门支部所推荐给州政府的本曼查及甲必丹人选已获继任。他们是本曼查黄扬浪,文莪支部的彭庚顺,刘佑丰及蔡锦辉或继任甲必丹为期两年。 本月12日在石隆门县公署由代县长NOLA女士颁发继任信给他们,出席见证的有人联党中央主席上议员拿督沈桂贤医生,玛士加汀国会议员安东尼诺尔,首长政治秘书古佛保,民进党碧湖区会领导,人联文莪支部及石隆门支部领导等。 在简短的致词中,人联中央主席感激州政府的信任及县公署的合作,尽这次委任工作能顺利进行,他也期望能与民进党在这方面的合作精神能永续地进行。同时保证这区领袖能与政府合作服务社区。 国会议员安东尼也感欣慰见到两党的合作精神充份的表现在这次的事件上,同时希望两党的合作能一如既往继续下去,民进党还有三位甲必丹需要延长服务,希望拿督沈能给于协助完成任务云!


Courtesy call

Former President of MCA, Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat paid the President of Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, a courtesy visit yesterday at the latter’s party headquarters. Dr. Sim said among the topics of mutual interest discussed, one of the salient point was on on how to assist and service the people in Sarawak.  


Bau community leaders

Bong Jong Loong has been appointed as the Pemanca for Bau district for another two years. Also extended are Kapitan Phang Kang Soon, Kapitan Liew Jiu Fung and Kapitan Chai Kiu Fui. The community leaders received a letter of appointment from the Acting District Officer, Nola. Also at the ceremony were Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian and Mas Gading MP Anthony Nogeh including SUPP Bemgoh leaders. Anthony said this was a beginning for SUPP and SPDP to work together closely in Bau district.


Dirty public toilets

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap was recently approached by members of the public and hawkers trading in 3rd Mile Sungai Maong Bazaar Hawker Centre, who complained on the state of the public toilets in the hawker centre. Following the complaints received, Wilfred Yap who is also Majlis Perbandaran Padawan (MPP) Councillor, together with an officer from MPP, immediately went to inspect and assess the situation and also to see what can be done to resolve the problem. Polyclinic shortcomings

Secretary General of SUPP Dato Sebastian Ting went on his round of duty on the ground yesterday morning. Ting was particularly perturbed when he got word and complaints on the Polyclinic and went there as early as at 5.30 am to check out the situation for himself. He noted that a number of patients arrived as early as 5:00 am to wait but they could only see the doctor who started work at 8 am.
