New Dynamic Commercial Circle at Pending!
Pending, the leader of Kuching’s new Dynamic Commercial District
As the deputy secretary of SUPP Pending branch and one of the most potential candidate for Pending, Milton Foo vowed to build the area into one of the most energetic and dynamic commercial district.
Pending is traditionally a chinese-majored constituency. Yet, as one of the most populous constituency, Pending’s commercial districts such as Pending and Kenyalang Commercial Centre are somewhat old and outdated. Thus, this calls for a need to transform current business style or developing new business amenities to uplift and rejuvenate these commercial district to be on par with development.
For instances, the introduction of new business areas such as Icom Square, City Square and etc., brought new life into the old Pending commercial district . Therefore, the idea of integrating new and fashionable with old but traditional district will be the main goal in Pending’s future development.
We will convene the public and business operators to forums to discuss and gather opinions or suggestions on the idealistic ways to improve the commercial development of the said area. Among some of the ideas already in mind are the introduction of night markets, characteristic streets, theme parks and increasing resident population to nurture the area becoming a commercial centre of quality, identity and with the spending power.
The main purpose of this development is not only to re-energize the existing commercial district or to drive the transformation into a modernize commercial areas so to promote economical growth, but to create abundant job and business opportunities for the youth in conjunction of developing Kuching to be a modernize major city nationally.
Creation of Youth Entrepreneurship Park
Besides bring about transformation in the commercial district, we will also be spearheading a Youth Entrepreneurship Park with offices equipped with hardware and software, free WiFi and etc. This is essential for persuading future local talents to stay in their hometown while be able to demonstrate their skills in getting involve in businesses. Moreover, we will provide these young entrepreneur with latest business information and various auxiliary funds for them to start up their own business.
It is undeniable that Sarawak’s development has always been slow and overlooked. Sarawak has a vast land area with small population and lack of direct flights in between towns and cities cripple the ability for Sarawak to retain local talents. The younger Sarawakians are pushed outwards in search of more opportunity to earn a living.
Thus, in order to be able to compete with other cities as well as other nations in wooing talents especially local talents, the main option is to create more business opportunities, youth entrepreneurship opportunities and various auxiliary funds to assist them in developing their business here.
In involving himself in politics, Milton vowed to fight for the implementation of the said program and to launch “Sarawak Youth Entrepreneur Seed Fund” so that the younger generations will benefit from it.
In addition, he also have faith that with the transformation proposed, Pending District will be Kuching’s next iconic area as it’s located just at the centre of administration. For example ,just after Pending’s Tanah Puteh bridge is the government administrative center and on the exact opposite sits the BCCK and other major development which are still under construction.
This is why we preach for a better and dynamic business commercial today as it is the lights guiding Pending towards the better future.
In the past 10 years voters of Pending had given DAP a chance to perform, now, for the sake of our future generation , Milton Foo appealed to the public to please give him a chance, a 5 years to realize the the dream of the younger generation and serving you all to build a prosperous Pending together.
